Functieomschrijving

We zijn op zoek naar een Junior Financial Controller om ons finance team in Den Haag te versterken. In deze rol rapporteer je aan onze Finance Manager en maak je deel uit van een team van vijf professionals die zich bezighouden met alle finance-onderwerpen — van boekhouding tot rapportages — voor onze internationale organisatie met entiteiten in Nederland, Duitsland, het VK en Pakistan.

Je wordt een belangrijk aanspreekpunt binnen het team. Je werkt nauw samen met de Finance Manager en krijgt hands-on begeleiding en coaching om je kennis te verdiepen en door te groeien naar een zelfstandige financial controller. Daarnaast werk je dagelijks samen met het team aan administratieve taken om ervoor te zorgen dat de financiële processen soepel verlopen. Naast de dagelijkse werkzaamheden werk je regelmatig samen met de Finance Manager aan verbeterprojecten en initiatieven om onze financieel administratieve basis verder te versterken.

Deze functie biedt een brede variatie aan werkzaamheden, waaronder:

Maandelijkse rapportages en afsluitingen
BTW-aangiftes
Algemene boekhoudkundige werkzaamheden
Optimaliseren van financiële processen en het ERP-systeem
Nieuw project: integratie van de administratie van onze UK-entiteit (ook van toepassing op andere bedrijven die mogelijk worden overgenomen)
Nieuw project: BI-tooling

Jouw profiel

Sterke communicatieve en organisatorische vaardigheden
Vloeiend in het Nederlands en een goed niveau van Engels. Duits is een pré
Proactieve en hands-on mentaliteit
Algemene kennis van boekhouding (bijv. Dutch GAAP/IFRS)
Uitstekende kennis van Excel
Ervaring met BrightAnalytics of Sage is een plus
2–5 jaar ervaring in financiële boekhouding en controlling

Job Description

We are looking for a Junior Financial Controller to strengthen our finance team in The Hague. In this role, you will report to our Finance Manager and become part of a team of five professionals working on all finance topics—from bookkeeping to reporting—for our international organization with entities in the Netherlands, Germany, the UK, and Pakistan.

You will be a key point of contact within the team. You will work closely with the Finance Manager, as you will receive hands-on guidance and mentorship to deepen your knowledge and grow into an independent financial controller. Additionally, you will collaborate daily with the team on administrative tasks to ensure smooth financial operations. Beyond day-to-day responsibilities, you will regularly partner with the Finance Manager on improvement projects and initiatives aimed at strengthening our financial foundation.

This position offers exposure to a wide range of tasks, including:

Monthly reporting and closing
VAT declarations
General bookkeeping tasks
Optimizing financial operations and ERP system
New project: integration of the administration of our UK entity (also applicable to other companies that could be acquired)
New project: BI-tooling

Your profile

Communication and organization skills
Fluent in Dutch, strong level of English. German is an advantage
Pro-active and hands-on mentality
General knowledge of bookkeeping (e.g. Dutch GAAP/IFRS)
Excellent Excel knowledge
Advantage if you have experience with BrightAnalytics or Sage
2-5 years of experience within financial bookkeeping and controlling
HBO werk- en denkniveau
