Job Description

As a Cloud Support Engineer at ID-ware, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, keeping our cloud platforms, systems and users running smoothly every day.

You’ll work directly with modern cloud environments (AWS/Azure), troubleshoot real-world technical challenges, and collaborate closely with our Platform Engineering team to solve complex issues and continuously improve how we operate.

You’ll have the opportunity to go beyond ticket handling: getting hands-on with automation, APIs and cloud-based systems, while building the skills needed to grow into more advanced engineering roles over time.

What you will do

Provide first- and second-line support for cloud platforms, internal systems, and end users
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents across infrastructure, applications, and user environments
Monitor AWS/Azure environments and respond to alerts, failures, and performance issues
Manage user accounts, access rights, and permissions
Perform routine operational tasks such as system checks, patching, and backups
Support APIs, internal tools, and basic scripting tasks
Maintain and improve documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles
Escalate complex issues to the Platform Engineering team with clear documentation
Contribute to improving monitoring, processes, and operational efficiency

Your profile

Technical

Experience in a support, IT operations, or cloud support role
Strong troubleshooting skills across systems, applications, and cloud environments
Windows and Linux working knowledge
Experience with monitoring and ticketing systems
Basic scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Node.js)
Understanding of identity and access management
Basic knowledge of AWS and/or Azure is a plus

Soft skills

Strong problem-solving mindset
Clear communication and documentation skills
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
Collaborative and team-oriented

Education & language

MBO/HBO in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)

Functieomschrijving

Als Cloud Support Engineer bij ID-ware sta je centraal in onze dagelijkse operatie. Jij zorgt ervoor dat onze cloudplatformen, systemen en gebruikers soepel blijven draaien.

Je werkt met moderne cloudomgevingen (AWS/Azure), lost technische problemen op en werkt nauw samen met het Platform Engineering team aan complexere vraagstukken en structurele verbeteringen.

Dit is geen traditionele servicedeskrol. Je krijgt de kans om verder te kijken dan tickets alleen: je werkt met automatisering, API’s en cloudoplossingen en bouwt tegelijkertijd aan je technische ontwikkeling richting meer geavanceerde engineering rollen.

Wat je gaat doen 

Leveren van first- en second-line support voor cloudplatformen, interne systemen en eindgebruikers
Analyseren, troubleshooten en oplossen van incidenten binnen infrastructuur, applicaties en gebruikersomgevingen
Monitoren van AWS/Azure omgevingen en reageren op storingen, alerts en performance issues
Beheren van gebruikersaccounts, toegangsrechten en permissies
Uitvoeren van operationele taken zoals systeemcontroles, patching en back-ups
Ondersteunen van API’s, interne tools en eenvoudige scripting
Bijhouden en verbeteren van documentatie, runbooks en kennisbanken
Escaleren van complexe issues naar het Platform Engineering team met duidelijke documentatie
Bijdragen aan verbeteringen in monitoring, processen en operationele efficiëntie
